Demo Work

This is a screenshot of the coding that i used to create my button. The purpose of this button is that it its meant to be clicked to start the stick men having there fight. Therefore i needed a stop and a click and go to an play code snippet. I put the stop in which is "stop( )" and then used the snippet to which tells the button that when clicked, it will go to and play the frame i want which in this case was the next frame.

This is the layer which i called actions in which all of my buttons go. The button has to be a button and not a movie clip in order to work and also has to have an instance name in order to be recognised by the programme.

Research

Dead on arrival is an interactive comic that is about a wife killing her husband. The comic itself is very good and has a clear beginning middle and end.

The story is good because of the interactivity. There are several moments in the story that you are put in control. For example you might have to find something to progress through the story or even talk to someone.

The way that you real the story is very interesting. As well as there being animation in the pages, you also have to turn the page your self. This is a nice touch of interactivity.

There is a mixture of photo and manipulated ones to give it a real comic book effect.

There are instruction at the beginning of the comic, which give you tips to how to use the interface, as well as alternate ways of progressing through the pages.

The intro can be skipped or watched, but it also gives you potions of weather to have sound or not. The presentation is very good and I like it. It makes it look professional.

story baord

Sounds

Sound that I would use would be:
Punch sound
A Ding sound
An explosion
A swoosh sound for when they slide or jump
A glowing sound for the trophie
Some glass breaking
A splash of water for when he chucks the paint
Street fighter announcer for the K.O
The street fighter sound track

For interactivity I was thinking of having buttons that would appear on the stage. There would be a timer on them so that if you click them the fight will carry on, however if you are too late, It will jump to a screen saying game over. You will then have a chance to replay. If this proves too difficult to produce then I would just use the buttons that carry on the fight as action buttons. For example they would say, "punch" or "kick", and when clicked the fight would continue.
